Indra Puran – Club Secretary

Indra brings forth over 20 years of invaluable experiences as an agent and Financial Professional helping individual families and small business owners with their insurance and investments needs. She graduated from YORK College with a  Bachelor’s Degree  in Information Systems Management.  She also did  extensive Insurance studies and designation programs at the American College.

Indra lives with her family in Ozone Park for over 35 years.  She is actively involved and volunteers in community services for many years.  She served as the past Secretary on the Executive Board for York College Alumni Association for 8 years. Currently she serves on the Executive Board at her church, and an active member of the Kiwanis club of Ozone Park.

Deborah Costa – LCIF Chairwoman

Deborah has been volunteering for many years from being a helper at Dance recitals to being a transport of cats for a local cat rescue.   During the past few years, she found herself offering to volunteer for the Ozone Park Residents Block Association.  She dedicates her time delivering Thanksgiving meals to those in need and dressing as an elf to escort Santa Claus visit the kids in our areas. Deborah also volunteers at the Ozone Park Food Pantry.  She is proud and honored to serve on the Ozone Park Howard Beach Woodhaven Lions Club Board as an LCIF Coordinator.  She proudly represents both the Ozone Park Residents Block Association and the Ozone Park Howard Beach Woodhaven Lions Club with one mission in mind, we must take care of those in need in our communities.  We are here to serve with dignity.  

Tyler Singh – Club Marketing Chair

At the age of 19, Tyler demonstrated his commitment to community service by joining both our Lions Club and Block Association. His passion for making a positive impact extended beyond these affiliations, as he went on to design and develop websites for both organizations. Thanks to his expertise, the Ozone Park Lions website is the first website in District 20-K1 to be powered by sustainable energy. Currently pursuing his education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an engineering student in automotive technology, Tyler exemplifies academic excellence and has a keen interest in technological advancements. He also enjoys sharing his knowledge as a STEM Engineering Teacher with NASA.

Eileen Villao – Club Director (Howard Beach)

Eileen Villao was born and raised in Queens, NY, where she currently resides with her daughter. Eileen has been in the Accounting field since she graduated High School. Her passions include, spending quality time with her daughter, friends and family and also, volunteering for Lions Association. She began volunteering at the start of the COVID 19. Eileen saw the need in the neighborhood and was compelled to help in any way needed. She spent her weekends at the food distribution at The Deshi Center on Rockaway Blvd. She has since then, made many friends in the organization and helps in whatever capacity she is most needed in. Eileen wishes to continue helping her fellow neighbors in the future.

A proud Puerto Rican, Damaris was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She now lives in Queens and has four amazing children. She served her community as a New York City police officer, and now spends her time volunteering for the Lions club, the Ozone Park Residents Block Association, and the Ozone Park Woodhaven Kiwanis Club.

Kamini Singh- Female Leos Advisor

Kamini brings over 30 years of extensive bookkeeping experience to her role. With an extensive background in Business Management and consultation spanning two decades, she has been a catalyst for the transformation of numerous startups into thriving multi- million dollar corporations. In 2023, Kamini took on additional responsibilities by joining our Lions Club and Block Association, where she assumed the position of Resident Advocate. She is also proudly serving our youngest volunteers, as the female advisor of our Leos club. Kamini’s expertise is not just limited to financial matters; she is a seasoned professional dedicated to fostering success and growth in both business and community initiatives.

Tyler Singh – Male Leos Advisor

Tyler, born in Borough Park, Brooklyn, NY, at Maimonides Medical Center, is a first-gen Guyanese-American. Tyler is a Manufacturing student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tyler enjoys teaching high school students about aviation, engineering, technology, artificial intelligence, and other STEM subjects for the NASA MUREP Aerospace Academy and the John F. Kennedy Redevelopment Program’s Aviation and Aeronautics Academy, hosted by York College (City University of New York). He’s also majoring in Automotive Technology, Computer Science, and Manufacturing. As the Male advisor for our Leos Club, he introduces exciting topics to our young volunteers, teaching them about getting ready for college, choosing careers, and most of all, the importance of volunteering and giving back in the community.
